As always, weather plays an important role. Unseasonably warm weather could send a field of leafy greens to seed in just a few days, while searingly hot weather can scorch delicate leaves. Frosts cause problems as well, especially when they come earlier or later than expected. Cockatoos, wombats and wallabies can also make life difficult.
